We all know Nelson Mandela as a freedom fighter, prisoner and the first president to be elected under the new constitution. On 5th December around 8:50 Mandela died because of lung infection at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg. He was 95 years of age; his death was announced by President Jacob Zuma. His funeral is expected to take place at the Union Buildings and his body will be buried at his native village Qunu. 


Nelson Mandela fought for racism, poverty and inequality, and fostering racial reconciliation and that inspired many people around the world. His journey of life had many ups and downs, from being a freedom fighter to prisoner and from the "The Black Pimpernel" to Mr. President.
