Celebrate Rakhi with Jabong! | Gifting ideas for sister

Make your sister feel special this Raksha Bandhan! Gift her something thoughtful

The second half of the year marks the beginning of the festive time. It starts with Raksha Bandhan and goes till Christmas. Yes, now is the time to get decked up, splurge in shopping and give gifts – cheers to the time of celebration. As Raksha Bandhan is round the corner, how can you make it special? For sisters, it’s quite easy as it’s all about buying a rakhi. But for dear bhaiyas gifting their lovely behanas could be a bit challenging. Since girls can get really fussy and cranky about the gifts, don’t tear your hair out over this. Let’s us help you with this. Here are a few reasonable Rakhi gifting ideas that can save your mind, money as well as your energy.

  • Ethnic suits to cheer her up
Do you think your sister will say no to clothes? Darn! She can never. Brands like Biba, Trishaa, Aurelia and W have heavy discounts on their kurtis and kurti sets. You can get them online. Shop for your sister an Anarkali or an A-line kurti in nice print. Gift her something in romantic florals as the prints are in.

  • Make-up kits for a pleasant surprise
Hate it or love it, but you can’t ignore it! Any girl loves make-up, including your sister. Since the trend of bright make-up has caught up with every other girl, gifting your sis a nice make-up kit will make her smile. The recently launched L’Oreal Cannes collection is available at Jabong.com. You can order L'Oreal Paris Reign In Red Cannes Box. The pack features Color riche moist matte lip color in Lincoln Rose, Infalliable Monos Pebble Grey eyeshadow and SuperLiner Gelmatic in Deep Brown. There are other make-up kits as well.

  • Perfume sets will make her jaws drop
Perfumes from international brands make a nice option for your dear sister. Buying them at slashed prices will make you feel much better. Victoria’s Secret gift set in four is available online. It comprises an ‘Endless Love Body Lotion’, a ‘Straw & Chmp Body Cream’, a ‘Coconut Passion Body Mist’, and a ‘Secret Crush Bubble Bath’. Isn’t it a heady combo, ideal to pamper your sibling! If not a gift set then go for perfumes from brands like Davidoff, Elizabeth Arden and Chanel. Davidoff Cool Water Sea Rose has a nice intoxicating fresh fruity smell – perfect for any sweet girl.

  • Gift her a bag, and she goes aww!
Whether your sister is young or old, she can’t say no to a bag! For your little sis, you can buy a cool-looking backpack. The brands like New Look, Ladida, Lavie and P.H.A.T have a nice range in leather backpacks. Any given day a backpack is stylish and goes with casual attire perfectly. If you want to purchase a bag for your elder sis, go for a tote or hobo. Brands like Faballey and Miss Bennett have many options.

  • Jewellery will put twinkle in her eyes
The ongoing trend of fashion jewellery and chunky ornaments gives you a good chance to make your sister happy. Buying them will not burn a hole in your pocket. The best thing about costume jewellery is that it can be worn anytime.

So I hope this time you won't disappoint your lovely sister with just a box of celebrations instead you'll gift her something which she can keep it for long. Have a happy Rakshabandhan to all my readers, enjoy the festival with your loved ones.

SCRIBBLER’S ORCHARD | PART 14

Shekhar has been keeping an eye on Ahuja's house and noting every stranger's entering and leaving the society, moreover he has strictly instructed the guards of their society too to be more attentive.

It was a rainy day and Tara was at home. She took sick leave from her office. Both Shekhar and Tara were discussing about Ahuja and alongside doing extensive study about him over the Internet. She was talking while Shekhar was sitting and listening to her carefully. The images of the incident kept flashing on Shekhar's mind but he felt relieved after talking to Arjun on phone as he assured him that he will take out Roohi safely out of this case as soon as possible. Together, Arjun and Jennifer were heading towards Shekhar's place in his police jeep.

It was around 2 in the afternoon, Tara went to the kitchen to make coffee.

"Ting-tong"- the house bell rang.

Shekhar opened the door. It was Arjun and Jennifer. Shekhar welcomed them both into his house and Tara came out of the kitchen with 4 cups of coffee.

They all had coffee and immediately started the discussion surrounding the whole plot, Jennifer opened the laptop the showed them the draft section of Cyrus's blog. They read it all, one by one and found that it's not just a case of kidnapping, this case was much deeply rooted thanit's trunk. Tara also shared all the data that they collected about Ahuja, and they digged into everything - news articles, images, society gatherings, old incidents, cases with no leads etc. Shekhar also discussed about the incident in which he saw Roohi's bag in the back of the car in their society.

Tara started crying, being worried for her only daughter Roohi! Jennifer consoled her while Shekhar showed Ahuja's house to Arjun from his window, as they were standing near the window they saw three strangers were making an entrance into his house. Because it was raining they didn't see anything clearly but exactly after 20 minutes only 2 guys came out and it made Shekhar suspicious, and Arjun shared the same thoughts.

Shekhar requested Arjun to investigate more about Ahuja & also about those 3 guys who were found dead near the beach Shekhar anticipated that this could lead them the black honda accord they were driving which had Roohi's bag in the back seat. Arjun assured Shekhar of  Roohi's safety and also asked him to keep an eye Ahuja's activities around his house.

Cyrus was lying on the floor pretending to be unconscious so that he could listen what all the gang members were discussing. All the goons were drinking alcohol and were not in their senses and suddenly what Cyrus heard came like a big shock to him. He couldn't believe what he heard but they were actually planning to kill the PM on his next visit to Mumbai. Mukesh, one of the gang member suggested that they should use Cyrus as the suicide bomber and rest agreed to it.

He listened and recorded every minute detail of their plan with the help of his smart watch which was the only help available for him at that moment. He took the benefit of their drunkenness and quickly whatsapped all the recordings to his friend Rohan and also the details of Tara and roohi. Cyrus asked him to contact Tara, the mother of the child who has been kidnapped, as soon as possible.

As he ended the conversation with Rohan, he recalled a memorable moment from his childhood with his father when he used to wait for him to come home so that they share a meal together and how his father compromised on the luxuries and worked as a real hero. For him his father was his biggest inspiration and he'll also lived a life with no regrets, so he decided he'll sacrifice his life to save the honorable PM and will also solve the mystery of the lost child; Roohi.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Tara was in a very important meeting when all of a sudden an unknown number flashed in her phone's screen. She left the conference room that very moment and answered the call.
"Hello", she said.

Is your daughter missing? I have some really important information to share with you, Rohan responded.

"What do you want? Please spare my child, she is innocent and fragile. You want money, take as much as you want but please don't harm my child." Tara was sobbing and begging on phone.

"Ma'am, I don't know where your daughter is exactly but I have something which might help you to find out her location and help you find the people behind this. My friend Cyrus found your daughter's bag at the mumbai central station so I'm taking a rough guess that she's most probably in mumbai and is definitely not safe. The gang who is behind this is also planning something gruesome and I fear that your daughter and my friend are stuck in this and are suffering badly." Rohan said.

Bigger and a Better way of Technology | Lenovo Yoga Tablet

As we all know ‘Tablet’ is shorter and a handy version of a laptop and bigger and wider version of a cell phone. A great technology merges two needs into one and that too very portable, comfortable, and accessible. I got my first tablet two years back and it still works satisfyingly but now as technology is growing rapidly I need some changes in my multipurpose machine.

I am a bookaholic, so my tablet is full of e-books. I make all my college presentations and write my blog posts. My nephew loves to play games in it, even my dad use it for his work or to access internet. Therefore, my tablet works a lot.

But here are the problems with it - I need to carry the charger everywhere. I charge my tab in metro, class, restaurant and almost everywhere! However, it works completely but carrying a charger irritates my friends and me a lot. Another issue that irritates me even more is it has no support as a PC monitor has. Sometimes my hands go numb while carrying the tablet for a long time. Therefore, my tablet is better than nothing but definitely not an ideal one.

My expectations from an ideal tablet are:
  • A good battery backup is necessary in a tablet because that’s what it makes it different from a laptop i.e. mobility.
  •  It should be light in weight.
  • A support is also very important.

Being an engineer technology is my first love, so when new technology comes out that excites me a lot. Recently I heard that Lenovo introduced a bigger and a better tablet i.e. ‘Yoga tablet’. When I heard the name, I got puzzled but after reading the description, I clearly understood the reason behind it. Just like yoga maintains and helps to regain flexibility in a human body, this newly launched Lenovo Yoga tab is very flexible and you can use it in three different modes. Isn't it much more than we all have ever imagined?

Technology means comfort and this tablet has it all. Now you can use it while eating, you can hold it for a longer time because it's light in weight and very comfortable as it is designed for every scenario just like this one- "you can create a list of all the groceries items and just hang it in your trolley and start exploring the store." It's not only a #BetterWay, it's the Best way!

My Platinum Day of Love

You must have heard about the “platinum day of love” in T.V commercials or on any social media channel. However, do you know the story behind this tagline? Well, it is about the day when you realize that you want to spend the rest of your life with your loved one forever and for always. They chose platinum as the symbol of love because
  •       It is the rarest element in the earth’s crust, just like true love rarest of rare.
  •     It is considered a noble metal, and as we all know love is a noble act of offering trust.
  •         Platinum is non-toxic, just like love.

Everyone has his or her own love stories, some lasts forever and some ends with a surprise or a shock. Imagine hearing my voice talking to you as you read this article because I am going to share my platinum day of love with you.

The beginning- I met him two years ago at a party. It was one of my closest friend’s birthday party, so we all were having a good time. My friend also invited him (Aman) our batch-mate but different branch. We glanced at each other but didn't talk. Everyone was enjoying the party suddenly a boy (Stranger) came to me and asked for my number. Just when I was about to react, Aman pulled me towards him. I rested my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around him with the fear of the situation.

(When I came back home, I was only thinking about those moments of love whole night.)

The second meet-up – It was our college fest when we met again as we were in the organizing team; it was the last day of our fest and Rashid Ali was the main guest who was going to perform. His songs are so melodious and soulful. We (Aman and I) exchanged glances but as everybody was around so we didn't talk to each other. AGAIN! Just when Rashid Ali entered and started singing “Kahin To Hogi Wo”, I noticed we were behind the stage alone and it was a beautiful night, stars were twinkling and the dim moonlight made the whole scenario even more sparkling. For the first time, we talked and danced on those beautiful tracks.
(This time when I came back home, he called me and we talked all night.)
The Proposal – We started talking and spending time with each other. It was Valentine’s Day and we went to Hauz Khas Village, one of the most beautiful places in Delhi. We were sitting near the lake when he started playing guitar and also sang the same song i.e. “Kahin to hogi wo” and proposed me. We started dating because my answer was a big YES! We’ve been inseparable ever since.
(Our love grows more each day. Sometimes things get rough but he's worth it.)
So this is my platinum day of love, when he proposed because that day we decided to be with each other forever and for always. I Love Us!

Smart Suraksha On Road

Be Safe on streets!
Recently, Supreme Court announced the final verdict for the most shocking case in the history of India, which was Delhi gang rape case that happened last year. As we all know, that this case showed us the true image of Delhi police security for women. Nirbhaya(the victim) who lost the battle of life but she gave all of us a lesson that we have to fight for our own rights and we should not depend on police for our safety.

For this case, different people had their different opinions. Some said, “A girl should not go out at night to avoid rape”, while other suggested “Girls should get married at the age of 16”. Moreover, the most shocking statement given by the biggest RAPIST in India was by Asharam bapu, who said, “The victim was equally responsible for the mishappening that happened and she should have taken God’s name” and should have said to rapists that “Brother, I am helpless and you are my religious brother”.

So ladies, do you really expect something good from such chauvinistic people? Well No, you shouldn’t! Start taking certain precautions and fight for your own rights. Why we should depend on others? We are not helpless, we can fight, and we will fight. Through this article, I am going to share some Smart Surakhsha tips for all my readers. Check it out:

1. As I mentioned above, a hypocrite gave his opinion that “Girls should not go out at night”, So here’s my tip for it that we should go out after seven, and make it a trend. It should not be a big deal for any girl to out late night.

2.  Now, after setting the trend we should take some precautions and should carry a Pepper Spray, a message for all the boys “If you want to show care to your sister or girlfriend and even mother, please gift her a bottle of pepper spray”.

3.  Do not drink too much and get high. Moreover, do not lose your senses by drinking too much alcohol. If you want to chill out, go with some trustworthy people and inform your parents about your plans (of course, exclude the alcohol part, but at least tell them with whom and where you are going).

4.  Go for Ladies night, these days many bars/lounges have started this trend of ladies night where only women are allowed, so go with your girlfriends and have a good time there.

5.  Learn some self-defense techniques. Judo-karate, kickboxing, martial arts, and many more courses are easily available by many training centres. So learn any one of the technique and go out confidently.

6.  Help the helpless, because you never know when you will be the victim of any demon. Therefore, it is our responsibility to raise our voice for others, and then only others will take a stand for us. It’s like an eye for an eye and hand for a hand.

7.  Park smartly and keep your senses high in a parking lot. Try to park your car near a security camera and when you are walking back to your car just observe your surroundings keenly.

8. These days mostly all women carry a smart phone or tab, which is fully loaded with so many apps like whatsapp, instagram, we chat, chat-on etc. Just by loading such applications how can you make sure that your device is actually ‘Smart’? Here are some few amazing apps which were designed for women’s safety and are easily available on Googleplay, install an app right now:

              - Smart Suraksha by Dark Matter India.
              - Women’s sacurity designed by Zayan Infotech
              - My Panic Alarm by Zined
              - Women Safety Secured by Blisstechworks
              - Secure her by Dexter Retail & Distribution Pvt. Ltd

     9. Do not ignore your gut feelings. As we all know, girls have the power of sixth sense, so take full advantage of it. If a person is following you and your gut says his intentions are not right, so just chuck your politeness and kick his butt hardly.

    10. Never trust anyone so easily and never be dependent on anyone. Just keep this in your mind and follow what your heart says.

These are the precautions which I follow, so if you have some more tips and ideas feel free to post them as comments below.

Indiblogger Meet | #DanceItOut For #Women'sSafety

Few days back, I went to an Indiblogger meet, which was associated with Zee TV’s biggest dance reality show “Dance India Dance”. The meet started around 7ó clock in the evening and I went there with my few fellow bloggers Aditya Bhasin, Ankita Mahajan, Gaurav Chawla and Arvind Mohan. And like any other Indi meet it was well organized at The Oberoi, New Delhi.

After some interactive sessions, finally, DID-4 new judges MuddarsarKhan and Feroz Khan came and they gave a mind-blowing performance. Then they told us about their new concept which they started in dance india dance season-4 is “Dance for a Cause”. Isn’t it unique?

They separated us in 7 teams with each having 20 bloggers. I was the team leader for my group and our topic was “Safety for women on streets”. I chose this topic because it’s really close to my heart, being a girl I have faced many incidents on our Delhi roads. In our act, we tried to cover everything that actually happens on streets.  The judges and the audience loved our performance a lot and we got so much appreciation for it. So many bloggers tweeted for our performance and gave their consent.

Here are some tweets:

"Team "safer streets for women" performing at #danceitout. Superb performance"

"What a great performance about #eveteasing - a terror faced by women in Delhi every single day. #DanceItOut "

"@indiblogger I will #DanceItOut for safety of women. That's paramount issue right now. @ZeeTV"

"A fabulous initiative by @indiblogger to fight for safety of women. Totally support it."

As i mentioned above that this topic is close to my heart, well here is the reason:  I still remember the time when i was coming back home from my tuition centre, and suddenly two boys came near to my rickshaw and they touched me. I felt helpless because they were huge physically. I still remember the time when, i was in 10th standard and was preparing for my board exams, so that’s why I got late that day and faced such a shameful incident. Just like I faced this, many women have faced and still facing such shameful happenings daily. And that's why I want to #DanceItOut for women's safety on streets and want to fight for women’s equal right to roam on streets at night. This is for all the ladies who has a fear of going out after seven. India is continuously growing economically but this is the dark side of it where chauvinistic and misogynistic attitude still exist.

After all the performances, when judges were about to announce the result I actually crossed my fingers because everyone performed really well. All of our team members were sitting together and were praying and suddenly judges shouted our team name #SafetyForWomen, we all went crazy and rushed towards the stage. All of us got Shopper’s stop shopping vouchers and we also danced with the judges. This was one of my best Indimeet ever. Thank you Indiblogger for giving me so many memorable moments.

Salon Style Hair At Home

Hairstyles defines your personality and these days the climate and the pollution affecting our hair very badly. So for protection we use different hair products which are easily available in market these days and the companies are promoting them with promising advertisements but do you think that really works? I was suffering from these problems and like any another teenage girl, I used almost all of them. And it resulted in split ends, grey hair and hair fall.

But these days one hair product saving my hair from the damages is Tresemme shampoo. I believe different people have different kinds of hair texture like dry hair, curly hair, thin hair, oily hair.
So they should use shampoo according to it.

Not only these products that cause damage but also the lifestyle we have is the reason for bad hair. Excessive use of hair dryers and straighteners also cause damaged hair. And as I mentioned earlier also about the climatic conditions and pollution that makes our hair dirty and dead. So make a bun or a pony, especially in summer.
I know bun and pony are not IN these days but a little experiment with it can really make your look glamorous.

Here are the few simple hairstyles which you can try at home:

1) Regular Bun:

2) Bun with a hair stick:

3) Simple pony tail:

4) Simple Braid:

5) Clutch it:

These are very simple and quick hair do’s you can do to look stylish and can protect your hair with the harsh weather and pollution.

A good shampoo is very important. After applying so many products I recommend my readers to use Tresemme because it really worked on my hair.

So, here are some reasons why you also should use it:

1. Tresemme was created by high-profile hairstylist Edna Emme, who's name inspired the brand name TRESemme.

2. As I mentioned above the different types of hair texture, so they have also a huge variety of shampoos for different hair.

3. They have reasonable rates and yet they did not compromise with the quality at all.

4. Requires very less amount and lathers easily.

5. It makes hair smooth almost instantly.

6. Tresemme is used not only by common people but also many professionals recommend it.

7. It really adds luster and shine and you can see the effects of it from the very first wash.

Well, now you have so many reasons to use it. So just buy your bottle, apply it and tell me your Tresemme hair story. :)

Check out this amazing video and Subscribe. "

Engineers on cloud 365!

"Indian by birth, engineer by choice". I hope that Indiblogger will not sue me for this. Well, Life of an engineer is not very easy, as it seems. Eight long semesters, 60+ exams, so many assignments and that’s not all, in every semester we have to give so many presentations, projects and research papers for all subjects as well. There is lot more pain; I cannot discuss everything here as this may deviate me from my topic that I am going to write.

High fee, less time makes our life even more disgusting. Do you know why Delhi University students have a better life than any engineering college student does?  Well because in Delhi University, students have negligible fees as compared to B.tech course fees per annum, so they can take money from their parents anytime for shopping, and they have even time for it.

If I talk about myself, my college is at a distance of 65 km far from my college. Soon, my final semester exams are coming and before that, we have to give presentations for each subject. I remember in my last semester on the day of presentation I forgot my pen drive at home and as I mentioned above the distance between my college and my home, it was impossible for me to go home and bring the pen drive. I still regret for being so careless.

Now, it’s my final semester going on and this time I don’t want to take any chance, so this time before I’ll leave for college, I’ll just upload it on cloud, which is a great service provided by Microsoft which will follow me wherever I’ll go and 65 is now just a number. But you must be thinking that how I’ll afford such a great service. So here is a good news for all the students just like me who cannot afford it, Airtel is now associated with Microsoft and they are providing their services together in a very cheap amount, which is very affordable. The amount you pay for two movie tickets with all the eatables is all you have to pay for this service. Isn't it great?

Microsoft office 365 is a great upgradation of Microsoft office because some of the features we have never thought of are now possible as well as affordable :
>Cloud computing
>parallel editing
>highly secure
>Available in 33 languages.

Therefore, I would highly recommend all my readers to try this service and I’m sure you’ll love it.
